the sun still shines..

well i am happy to announce that when i woke up on saturday morning the sun was up and it was shining brightly.

I had a good weekend.

My wonderful mother made the trip up my way so we could go watch my little sister sydneys volleyball tournament together. She is Awesome. she had so many things that she could have been doing because they were having the annual "Farm appreciation party" at my parents house that night, but being the sweet mother that she is, and knowing my previous day/week...she came. we watched some volleyball, had lunch, and visited the farmers market. she really is wonderful. thanks mom.

It was a good day.

That night, my babe was home...which was a blessing because a week without him, makes me happy when he is home. We were able to go to the Adult session of Stake Conference together, and then attend it again today. I love sundays more that any other day of the week. Its my day of peace. When i don't need to be in a hurry to get things done, or be somewhere...i just get to enjoy the moment. in which i did.

so, with that being said...i am happy today.

Its going to be a good week.

frustration...

for some reason its been a rough week for me.

I've been super stressed with work...just too much to do and certainly not enough time to get any of it done.

and then there is volleyball... some days my girls stress me out to the max. on Monday, i only had 5 girls show up to practice, and i always get some sort of silly excuse from them like no one told them they had practice....sorry girls but its the same time day after day... lets be serious, they are just freshmen. (on a good note, i was impressed at the way they played last night, although we didn't win, they played good, which is a start...right?).

My car window broke, well not like broke and shattered, but it would not roll up at all. i think the motor broke in it, so i had to drive all week with a rolled down window (not fun, especially at 5:45 a.m. while driving to vb practice) luckily no rain came my way.

and then today....i've been so excited for this weekend because i had planned this super fun weekend with my sisters to go to price, where i was gonna play in a volleyball game at my old college, then tomorrow morning i was gonna run in a half marathon in price. Well as i rushed to pick up my car at the shop this morning and get back so i could get on the road, i thought to myself, i should probably call my Coach (from college) to double check on the game. so as i call him, he told me that he had cancelled the game for tonight...without telling half of us that were planning on coming. seriously coach. so then i had a breakdown of disappointment.....was it really worth it for me to drive 5 hours to just run a two hour race then turn around and head rigt back home......?
But what about my sisters...we had been planning on this weekend for a while and were so excited. so what to do....i chose not to go, but have been quite upset about the whole event all day. I've cried to almost everyone i've talked to about it, and i don't even know why. I think i was just sad for droppin the ball on a fun weekend with my sisters, and not being able to run my race....but i am just at least glad that i didn't drive the 5 hours to price, all dressed and ready for a volleyball game, only to then find out that i was the only player in the gym. anyways....i'm hopin for anything up at this point.
I don't mean to be a complainer, just needed it off my chest

so... its over now,

i'm done whining about all of it,

and i'm over it.

Sorry lis and Kell for ruining the weekend.

Maybe another day?

lets play a little game....

Lets see if you can all guess what these things have in common...

mice....

birds....

bats....

and cats....

well, lets see....they can't all fly, and they can't all walk, some come out and night, and others can be found at all times. so what is it that makes these four things so similar.....

hmmm, well one thing i know is that they have all been found sneakin, flying, pestering, and scaring me to death. YES, thats right, all four of these ridiculously disgusting creatures have been found in my cute little house. I don't know about you, but these creatures don't settle well with me, not even a little bit. But unfortunetley we have had encounters with all of them, except for the mice, but i most certainly know that they are stompin around on my grounds, cuz they don't even think twice about leaving the droppings around my house.

and last night, i was writing in my journal, and chase was gone up at the lodge for the night, i was just mindin my own, havin a moment to myself, when a mosquito or something kept bothering me, so i'd swat at it, and then a few minutes later it would bother me again...then i saw another one out of the corner of my eye, so i swatted again, only to see that it was still there, so i glanced upward, to find a FREAKIN BAT flyin around my bedroom. i don't really think i've ever escaped anything so quickly as i did then. so it was off to the inlaws for a sleepover.

at first i was quite upset because we had cats everywhere, but now, i think i would welcome them into my home if i knew they could take care of my other problems. woof, i just don't know what to do...i think i'm gonna have my house exterminated or something...cuz i just love it and its so cute, but i just get a rotten little taste in my mouth when i find out that i am not the only one living in MY cute little house.

anyways, i'm just praying that this is the last of them. i don't think i could handle one more little "friend" joining me at my cozy home. really i am quite stressed about this situation. any suggestions.

oh, and to all those friends who i really want to come visit me, don't you worry for even a second, i'll get this problem taken care of shortly. haha, i'll just laugh about it until then. hopefully this is the last of this story, cuz i'd sure hate to add another chapter.

mission accomplished...

i did it! yesterday i ran my first half marathon, and pretty much loved every second of it. I ran the Hobble Creek Half Marathon in Springville. it seriously was such a fun race...its right down hobble creek canyon, and it was beautiful, and nice to run cuz there wasnt much uphill, just a gradual decline through the pretty canyon. I was gettin pretty nervous to run it the week of the race, cuz lets be honest, 13.1 miles is kinda far to run at one time, and i had never ran that far in training...but its been something i've been wanting to do, and i did it. I ran it in 1 hour and 42 minutes...which is far better that i hoped (i'm giving that credit to my sports jelly beans, and the fact that it was a relatively downhill/flat course) I placed 10th in my age division which i was so happy about and now, i'm even happier to be done. i sure do have some sore muscles now though, speaking of those muscles, i think i deserve a massage......babe, where are you?

I love to see the temple...

This week i had the opportunity of going to the Twin Falls Temple open house. I Love the temple! It is such a beautiful temple, and it will be so awesome to have near home. There is just such a special spirit and feeling both inside and outside the temple. The only thing that could have made it better is if my man could have been there with me.....welcome to hunting season!

"The crulest thing a wife can do...

I found this off someones blog, and i really liked it. It is a quote out of the book "The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands" It made me realize that there is so much more i can do to make myself and my marriage happier. I know that there are certainly times when i could do more, and try a little harder to be happy, and make my husband happy. just something to think about.

"The cruelest thing a wife can do to a husband is to never be happy. And don't forget, being happy is more an attitude than a reality. When things are going bad, when there are problems and challenges, disappointments and disasters, it is obvious that happiness is going to be undermined. However, when one looks for that little peek-hole in the sky where the sun DOES shine through,m then it is a lovely day."

Welcome to Idaho...

yep, thats right....Chase and I are now residents of the great little small town of Firth, Idaho. We live near here last year after we got married, and have returned once again to begin this hunting season. I think this time around the move is more permanent than the last. Nonetheless, we are excited! We have a cute little house that i will post pictures of soon (well as soon as we are able to move in that is...). Firth is a cute little small town, and i think we'll have fun here...our friends Jana & Tate are moving here too, which makes me so excited! Kathy, my mother in law teaches a workout class 3 times a week, which i absolutely love, so that is a for sure plus with the move. The hunting season starts next week, which is a little bittersweet...i never get to see my husband, but he loves the hunting season, so it will be good.

The day before we moved here, my big bro got married. The wedding was atmy parents house, and it turned out really great. He married a super cute girl, Brandi, and we are so excited to have her as a part of our family.
Here are the most recent pictures to play catch up on whats been going on in this life of mine!....there is a lot of them. i hate choosing my favs so i post them all.
here is Mason and I the night before i moved....i'm sure gonna miss those cute little boys.....we had a little bbq the night before we left with all our friends that were gonna miss so much.
