i knew you hadn't seen the little misses for a while, so i thought i'd show you just how big & cute she's getting. would you just check out the chunk that is accumulating on her cheeks, chin & thighs. isn't it adorable. she's smiling lots & i'm sure she has lots stored up for you. well we miss & love you....and hope to see you soon.

on a sunny day

while today is cold and yucky out, i am reminiscing about a warm & sunny day that we had a while back. And on that beautiful day, we took a little walk up in the mountains. there was snow covering the ground, but the sun was out and it was perfect. Both kiddos fell asleep during the walk (not sure how preston managed to fall asleep considering the position he was in) but they loved it as well. Here's to hoping more of those days come our way soon.

Claire's Room

here are a few pictures of miss claire's bedroom. I tried to keep it pretty simple & make the adorable frames the focal point. There are still a few details unfinished, but for the most part its done. I made her bedding and my mother in law made her beautiful quilt hanging over the rocking chair.

i know i've said it before....but this kid loves to swim. We were up at my inlaws a few weekends ago and went swimming, Preston hadn't been in the pool since Christmas, so i thought it might take him a little while to warm up to the idea, but NO, he literally would jump right in without us helping him if we didn't keep a constant eye on him. This time he let us put a little lifejacket on him, and he would go everywhere all by himself. cute, yes...scary, definetely. We just booked a trip to Mexico and i'm getting a little nervous about how comfortable he is with the water..but he will love it.
excuse the red-eyes...i'm a little too lazy at the moment to go and remove them.

Claire's Blessing Day

This past Sunday, Claire was blessed by her Daddy. It was a perfect day. She was given a beautiful blessing, and had so many family there to show their love & support. we were missing a few family members because it was a last minute decision to bless her in March (we were planning on May) but we know they still love her!! I made Claire's blessing dress & it turned out beautifully, however i wasn't too pleased with how it looked in pictures, it just didn't do it justice. But i am excited to be able to show her her blessing dress when she is older and tell her i made it. I feel bad i didn't get hardly any pictures of the Jones side of the family, but they were there. Thank you to everyone who was there & helping out with everything & loving our sweet little angel. here are some (LOTS) of pictures from the day.

check these two out!!! this is Preston & my little sister Syd....i am shocked @ how identical they look. Syd is an absolutely beautiful young women, so hopefully preston follows suite and will be a handsome young man. so funny!!!

1 month

hard to believe that the little misses has been a part of our family for a month already. hasn't someone figured out how to stop or even slow down time so that we can enjoy this sweet little newborn phase. although i know the phases to follow are so fun, i always enjoy the innocence and perfectness of a tiny new baby. we are lucky to have this little lady around.

@ 1 month old miss claire......

recieves 101 kisses a day. from mom, dad, but mostly big brother.

is a champion eater.

quite enjoys her tummy-time.

makes THE cutest cooing noises ever.

does not like her binky that much (much to my attempt).

LOVES her mommy.

is the NOISIEST baby around, the girl grunts all the time, especially at 5 am.

gets the hiccups at least 5 times a day. hate those darn hiccups.

sleeps in her crib (since she was 1.5 weeks old)

is developing some nice chunk on her cheeks & chin.

went to her first basketball game.

and keeps getting cuter every day.
