my girls, cards, & a lunch date...

My girls......
So my team had their last tournament this weekend. and it was kinda last minute scheduled so i only had 6 girls that were there to play. So it was a super long day for them to play so many games...but they did awesome! seriously played as good or better than i have seen them play all season. So its over now, and honestly i'm quite ready for it. I have loved it, and i have really fun girls, but i'm just ready. Next year i get to coach the j.v. so i'm pretty happy about that. anyways....we had fun while it lasted.

The cards.....
I got pretty bored one night, so i went to my friend Jana's house and we had a card-making night. Its been a while since i've whipped out some cards, but it was fun. here's a couple of them.

The lunch-date......
My mom and sisters had some appointments in Pocatello on Friday, so i skipped out on work for a couple hours and met them for lunch! I seriously love lunch dates! and especially if its with my fun mom and sisters.

a good day...

a good day is when you drive to work and gas prices are $3.40, then you drive home that same day and they are $3.27.

i like that.

Lauren & Charlotte

We had a wonderful weekend. First of all, Lauren & Royce came from Connecticut to visit. She was only here for a few days, but it was so good to see her. She came on the perfect weekend, her cousin Jake got married in Idaho Falls on Saturday, and Charlotte had her baby blessing on Sunday. So it was a perfect reason for the family to all get together. Here is pics of all of us at dinner, Jake's wedding luncheon, and Charlottes baby blessing. By the way....Charlotte is the most adorable thing. she has the cutest chubby cheeks, that just get way to many kisses i'm sure. She is precious.

Green & Brown

so we went home for conference this last weekend, and loved every second of it. it is so great to be home, and it was great because everyone was able to be there. After Sat. afternoon session we had family pictures, hence the green and brown...but i must say that they turned out ADORABLE. i have the cutest family. i caught just a few candids, and when we get the real ones back, i'll post them.

saturday my mom was making zuccini bread for us (and i'm not making fun of you mom) we just got a real good laugh at this one. i won't post pictures of this mess, but check it out here...it was real funny. I can count the times my mom had failed at baking something on one hand, so i still consider her amazing...we are allowed mess-ups, right?

ps. wasn't conference wonderful. I can't think of many more things that i enjoy more than watching conference twice a year. and is it just me or what that feels like they are talking directly to me. I always feel renewed and refreshed after watching our wonderful leaders teach us, and help direct our paths.

They are inspired. They are amazing.

Mckell and my very wonderful dad. He is my favorite (so are u kell)

seriously now, does she look 6 months pregnant....NO! thats awesome.

sisters (-) brandi. cute girls

its hard for us to resist taking pictures while driving in the car. it really is.

and then theres cute little rachel (who is not so little anymore) always pulling a face.

i had a fabulous weekend. and just so you know, i do love my husband, and we did spend the weekend together....but he however does not love the camera as much as i do.

its been a while

i need to apologize for my lack of blogging lately. We don't have the internet at our house right now, and although i could do it at work, or after work, i just seem to want to go home after work, or i've got volleyball practice...so i just haven't. lucky for you though....you haven't missed out on much in my life as of lately. i just usually wake up, go to exercise, go to work, go to volleyball, go home and go to bed....pretty much everyday this is what i do. i sure do miss having Chase around...i feel lucky if he comes home 2-3 nights a week. (gotta love hunting season..)
But we have managed to fit a few fun things in...so here they are...

A couple of weeks ago, some of Chase's Family friends came to Salt Lake. Their Dad sponsors a race car team...and so we thought it would be fun to go see what goes on at these race. The race was 7 hours long...which was crazy to me, but it was really fun to watch. The car that we are standing in front of (which is the one they sponsor) got second place. So it was really fun for me to get to know the Salvo Family a little more, and spend the day with them.
But the best part of it all was that Patrick Dempsey was there, he was racing one of the cars...he is however, a much better actor that a race car driver, but i pretty much rubbed shoulders with him. We had passes to go down in the pits with all the drivers, and i walked literally right by him. he's gorgeous, but unfortunetly short (like the majority of hollywood stars). anyways, i was quite happy all day about that.

*unfortunetly, i don't have any more pictures to post at this time, but I did paint some rooms in my house this week, (thanks mom and jana for helping me) so i promise pictures to follow of that.
*I got called to serve in the Young Womens, which i am so excited about. I am the Beehive Advisor. Chase got called to be the 1st counselor in the Young Mens, He will do an amazing job teaching those young men all that they need to know to be strong in this ever so wicked world.
*And also, My girls had a volleyball game last night, and they did AWESOME, however, they didn't win....its ok. I was so proud of them!
Things are lookin up.

Well, i'm off to my parents for the weekend (i love general conference weekend @ my parents)

Have a great weekend.

the sun still shines..

well i am happy to announce that when i woke up on saturday morning the sun was up and it was shining brightly.

I had a good weekend.

My wonderful mother made the trip up my way so we could go watch my little sister sydneys volleyball tournament together. She is Awesome. she had so many things that she could have been doing because they were having the annual "Farm appreciation party" at my parents house that night, but being the sweet mother that she is, and knowing my previous day/week...she came. we watched some volleyball, had lunch, and visited the farmers market. she really is wonderful. thanks mom.

It was a good day.

That night, my babe was home...which was a blessing because a week without him, makes me happy when he is home. We were able to go to the Adult session of Stake Conference together, and then attend it again today. I love sundays more that any other day of the week. Its my day of peace. When i don't need to be in a hurry to get things done, or be somewhere...i just get to enjoy the moment. in which i did.

so, with that being said...i am happy today.

Its going to be a good week.

frustration...

for some reason its been a rough week for me.

I've been super stressed with work...just too much to do and certainly not enough time to get any of it done.

and then there is volleyball... some days my girls stress me out to the max. on Monday, i only had 5 girls show up to practice, and i always get some sort of silly excuse from them like no one told them they had practice....sorry girls but its the same time day after day... lets be serious, they are just freshmen. (on a good note, i was impressed at the way they played last night, although we didn't win, they played good, which is a start...right?).

My car window broke, well not like broke and shattered, but it would not roll up at all. i think the motor broke in it, so i had to drive all week with a rolled down window (not fun, especially at 5:45 a.m. while driving to vb practice) luckily no rain came my way.

and then today....i've been so excited for this weekend because i had planned this super fun weekend with my sisters to go to price, where i was gonna play in a volleyball game at my old college, then tomorrow morning i was gonna run in a half marathon in price. Well as i rushed to pick up my car at the shop this morning and get back so i could get on the road, i thought to myself, i should probably call my Coach (from college) to double check on the game. so as i call him, he told me that he had cancelled the game for tonight...without telling half of us that were planning on coming. seriously coach. so then i had a breakdown of disappointment.....was it really worth it for me to drive 5 hours to just run a two hour race then turn around and head rigt back home......?
But what about my sisters...we had been planning on this weekend for a while and were so excited. so what to do....i chose not to go, but have been quite upset about the whole event all day. I've cried to almost everyone i've talked to about it, and i don't even know why. I think i was just sad for droppin the ball on a fun weekend with my sisters, and not being able to run my race....but i am just at least glad that i didn't drive the 5 hours to price, all dressed and ready for a volleyball game, only to then find out that i was the only player in the gym. anyways....i'm hopin for anything up at this point.
I don't mean to be a complainer, just needed it off my chest

so... its over now,

i'm done whining about all of it,

and i'm over it.

Sorry lis and Kell for ruining the weekend.

Maybe another day?
